Alzheimer's Dementis & Music

Studies on Alzheimer's and other types of dementia have shown the positive effects music can have, and research has shown that listening to or singing songs can provide emotional and behavioral benefits for people with Alzheimer's and dementia.

For patients living with terminal or life-limiting conditions, a regular program of interactive music sessions can have therapeutic benefits and enhance the quality of life.

Music is a special language that everyone understands. There is no feeling that cannot be described and transported through music.

Music, amongst all the great arts, is the language that penetrates most deeply into the human spirit, reaching people through every barrier, disability, language, and circumstance.

It conjures up experiences from our past and plays them for us again, injecting us with the emotions of those

long-gone moments.
