Music brings so much joy, and we want to take your residents on a

wonderful musical journey of memories.

With a library of over two thousand songs, residents can pick and choose

the records they wish to hear, and by recreating the original records

covers this will enhance the visual and audio experience by physically being

able to see and feel a replica of the original records and artwork.

For residents who are confined to bed for long periods of time because of

diagnosis or frailty, we have introduced a wireless headphone system and music

can be played safely directly to them.

With a multi-genre library of music from the '40s, 50,s, 60,s and 70,s there

will be something for everyone.

Studies on Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia have shown the

positive effects music can have, and research has shown that listening to

or singing songs can provide emotional and behavioural benefits

for people with Alzheimer's and dementia.

Musical memories are often preserved in Alzheimer's disease because key brain

areas linked to musical memory are relatively undamaged by the disease.

Music can relieve stress, reduce anxiety/depression and reduce agitation

and also benefit caregivers by reducing anxiety and distress,

lightening the mood, and providing a way to connect

with loved ones who have Alzheimer's disease especially those

who have difficulty communicating.

By employing all sectors of the musical and arts community,we can provide

live music performances from a wide range of genres, Jazz, Classical, Folk etc
